Yajur Upaakarma Sankalmpam (Aavani Avittam).
7th August 2017
As the grahanam occurs in the night at 10.52 P.M. there is NO grahana dosham till 12 noon on 7th August, hence it is better to perform upaakarma before 12 noon, essentially for the first timers. In my humble opinion, it is always better than doing it on 6th September, during the Mahalaya/Pithru paksham!
Aachanaman, Two leave Dharba pavithram, additional two leave Dharbam for Aasanam and two leaves to be folded and kept in the Finger Ring. Praanaayaamam.
